Winning the lottery is not just buying a ticket and waiting for results. If you want to win, there is some preparation work, which needs to be done, to pick the possible winning lottery numbers. This involves paying attention to the world around you and using it to your advantage.
News and the Lottery
Are you a news junkie? This may seem a strange question, but it is the news you will use to choose your actual lottery numbers. This does not mean you have to stay glued to your television, but you do need to have a means of accessing what is going on in the world, shortly before you choose your lottery numbers and buy your ticket.
You can watch the evening news on television, read the current events section of a newspaper, or do a quick news skim on AOL, Yahoo, or whatever Internet homepage you prefer. Whichever you choose, pay attention to the news items that are repeatedly popping up in the week you plan to purchase your lottery ticket. You will be using a hot news item to pick your numbers.
For example, if the big headline news concerned storms and tornadoes, this would be what you would work from. Since the lottery has five regular numbers and one Powerball, you would find, or decide upon, six words that are related to the headline topic. For this topic, they could be the names of the states where the tornadoes hit, or the names of the towns, or such words as, disaster, chaos, lightning, or any word that relates to the headline. Do not forget to use the main word "tornadoes," or some variation of it, as one of your words, maybe even as the Powerball word.
Numerology and Your Lottery Number Choices
Once you have your six words, you will need to use a bit of numerology to get the numbers you will play on your lottery ticket.
On a piece of paper, write out the numbers 1 through 9. Beginning underneath the 1, write the letter A. Under the number 2, write the letter B, and so on until you reach the 9. After you have placed the letter "I" under the number 9, begin a second line under number 1 with the letter J and continue like this until you have finished the entire alphabet. You will have three letters under each number except nine, which will only have the letter "I" and "R."
Write out the words you have chosen with a bit of distance between each letter of each word, as you will be writing the numbers underneath. You will now use the numerology chart to give each letter in the words a number. The word "tornadoes," has the numbers 2, 6, 9, 5, 1, 4, 6, 5, and 1. Now add these numbers up and you will get 39. You can choose to use the number 39 for one of your lottery numbers or you can break it down into a single digit by adding 3 + 9 together to get the number 12, then break that down by adding 1 + 2 which equals 3. It is up to you whether you use the 39 or the 3 for your lottery number picks.
Do this with all of the words you have chosen. If you find two of your words come out to the same number, see if you can break it down to a single digit, which would still allow you to use both numbers. If not, you will have to decide on a different word, as you do not want to have the same number twice. After you have all six numbers, go out and buy that lottery ticket.
