You can communicate with your spirit guides through pendulum dowsing with an alphabet chart.

Pendulum dowsing charts are extremely useful tools and there are many different types of charts to choose from. One dowsing chart that is often overlooked is the alphabet chart. This chart can help you meet and communicate with your spirit guides.

Pendulum Dowsing and Intention

Pendulum dowsing with an alphabet chart, or any kind of dowsing chart, begins with intention. Setting your intention is the key to success with any type of dowsing. Your intention must be stated clearly before beginning your pendulum dowsing session. Your intention to meet and communicate with your spirit guides must be stated out loud. You can say, "I want to meet and communicate with my spirit guides using my pendulum and alphabet board." Your spirit guides will, then, fully understand what you are asking of them.

Steps to Take Before Beginning Your Dowsing Session

There are three steps you need to take before beginning your dowsing session. The first is to create your alphabet board, the second is to ask for protection, and the third is to know how your pendulum swings for the words "yes" and "no."

Using a piece of paper, make an alphabet chart from a large circle and divide it into twenty-six equal parts for the letters of the alphabet. Make sure you have a small circle in the center as a neutral spot where your spirit guides can go back to when a word or sentence is complete. You might wish to put the numbers zero through nine off to the side of your chart as well.

Ask your spirit guides out loud to put the white light of protection around you, your family, your home, and your pendulum dowsing session. This will ensure that you will not be interrupted by any lower level spirits. Do this every time you sit down to do a dowsing session.

Holding your pendulum out in front of you, ask it to tell you which movement it will use for showing you "yes." Once you have seen the movement, ask it again to show you what movement it will use for "no." These movements will stay the same for all dowsing sessions.

Meeting Your Spirit Guides

With your alphabet chart in front of you and your pendulum in hand, ask how many spirit guides you have working with you at this time. Place your pendulum over the number one and wait for the response. If your pendulum gives you the "yes" movement, you have your answer. If it shows you "no," move onto the number two. Continue this until you have the correct number. Be patient with yourself if you are unaccustomed to pendulum dowsing as the process can be quite lengthy at first.

After you have determined the number of guides who are currently working with you, you can ask for their names one at a time. Start out by asking for the name of your main spirit guide. This is the guide who has been with you since birth and will remain with you your entire life. Start with your pendulum hanging over the neutral middle circle. At first, your pendulum may just swing back and forth between two letters which are opposite one another. If this happens, place your pendulum on one of these letters and ask if the letter is correct. If it swings to "yes," that is your first letter. If not, go to the opposite letter and do the same thing. Once you have determined the first letter, put your pendulum in the neutral spot and ask for the next letter. Continue in this manner until you have all the names of your spirit guides.

Other Questions for Your Spirit Guides

Once you have all the names, you can ask your main spirit guide to tell you where each of your guides come from geographically according to their own preference, how long they have been with you, and what they do for you from spirit. Each of your spirit guides has a specific area they help you with - usually something that is challenging for you such as learning a new skill, having a baby, or going back to college. It is your main spirit guide who calls in the reinforcements in times of need and expertise.

Continuing Pendulum Dowsing Sessions

The more you practice, the faster your pendulum dowsing sessions with your spirit guides will go. Eventually, the pendulum will pull you to each letter and, later, you may begin getting the first few words of a sentence in your head. Do not be afraid to talk to your spirit guides and ask them questions. If you are patient, you will receive full sentences, then paragraphs, then pages of information from them which you will find very valuable.

I have a pendulum but don't seem to get on very well with it. I am interested in finding out more about my guides, but, if they are listening, they don't communicate in a way that I can know that they are with me.

So basically, those of you ho know what you're doing are fine but we others, how do we know if we are able to receive communication or if we never will and are wasting our time?
