Electronic equipment such as electromagnetic field meters, ghost boxes, and high technology for recording electronic voice phenomena (EVP) is said to be necessary for ghost hunting. Though all of this equipment is valuable, more answers concerning a possible haunting can be obtained by using the ancient art of pendulum dowsing with an old-fashioned alphabet board.
Expanded Information
I have been pendulum dowsing with an alphabet board since 2004 and have used it on numerous occasions while out on a paranormal investigation. It is my main spirit guide who bridges the gap between me and the spirit or ghost then shares the information through the alphabet board. It has become a valuable tool in gaining information concerning the ghost or spirit who may be haunting a particular location.
On one investigation at a private home, I was given information that a young girl was murdered in the home when the home was in a different location. The name of the man who was said to have murdered her was given, as well as a date when the home was re-located to the current location. This was information that could be checked.
Upon speaking to the owners of the home, it was determined that the house had been moved from a few miles away to its current location very near the date given. In looking at the abstract for the home, the man's name was also correct, though it was never proven that any crime had been committed.
It is still necessary to use the electronic equipment to enable a paranormal group to determine where the activity is taking place, but using the pendulum with the alphabet board allows for expanded information. If your equipment malfunctions, the pendulum board can be used to determine who might be causing the equipment problems. Whatever the scenario, it is just a matter of asking the right questions.
Dowsing Rods verses Pendulum Dowsing
Dowsing rods are often used on paranormal investigations to determine where certain energy sources are located. Questions can be asked of the dowsing rods as well, but these are usually just yes and no questions which can leave gaping holes in the information needed to confirm other aspects of the investigation.
Dowsing with a pendulum and an alphabet board offers the ability to ask specific questions and have the answers spelled out clearly in sentence form. Whatever is received on an investigation through equipment can be compared with the information received through pendulum dowsing, but it can also offer up information that cannot be obtained any other way.
Getting Started
It is best to start out by using pendulum dowsing to communicate with your spirit guides as they will be the ones connecting up with the ghosts or spirits during investigations. It is a type of chain reaction - the ghost or spirit speaks to the guide and the guide translates the information to the pendulum and alphabet board through the person dowsing.
Practicing Pendulum Dowsing
It takes time to become adept at pendulum dowsing with the alphabet board, requiring many hours of regular practice. It starts out very slowly at first, then eventually builds up to a speed that can be very valuable during ghost hunting. The information received may include the name of the ghost or spirit within a purportedly haunted location, why they are there, when they died, how they died, and so on. There is no limit to the information that can come through your alphabet board, much of which will give the possibility of verification through past records.
Nothing to Lose
Ghost hunting has gone on for many years and will more than likely continue for many years to come. Psychics and sensitives are often invited on a ghost-hunting expedition or are already a part of a paranormal group. Dowsing rods are another means of gaining information that can be checked against what the electronic equipment picks up. So, why not use pendulum dowsing with an alphabet board as well? There is nothing to lose and a great deal to gain.
Unconventional methods are not always welcomed in the ghost hunting world, which is why it took a bit of time for the ghost box to catch on. There are still many who are as skeptical of the ghost box as they are of psychics and dowsing rods. Anything new is looked upon with suspicion but, like any new method in ghost hunting, it must prove itself. The only way that can be done is if ghost hunters are willing to give these new methods a try. Pendulum dowsing is an ancient art which anyone can learn to do with just a bit of time and patience. Imagine what could be accomplished by adding this art to an already skilled investigation team. The possibilities are staggering.
